Zhejiang sets new record for ship-to-ship green methanol bunkering_我的网站

A |     (ECNS) -- The large methanol dual-fuel container vessel "COSCO SHIPPING LIBRA" completed a bunkering operation of approximately 5,500 metric tons of green methanol at the Meishan port area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port in east China's Zhejiang Province on Sunday, setting a new provincial record for ship-to-ship green methanol bunkering.        As the global shipping industry accelerates its transition toward low-carbon operations, promoting clean energy alternatives to traditional marine fuels has become a key focus for the sector's transformation and upgrading.    Green methanol boasts advantages including good safety performance, strong compatibility with existing vessels, and significant carbon reduction.    In July, the first specialized methanol bunkering vessel at Ningbo Zhoushan Port, "Chimbusco Green Energy 85," officially commenced commercial operations, providing ship-to-ship bunkering services in the port area.
